My Spring 2022 designer dresses review is somewhat eclectic and although I am a massive Dolce & Gabbana fan, sometimes it’s nice to know what else is out there. According to Vogue, Spring 2022 catwalk trends include saturated colours, plenty of motorcycle style (think biker inspired jackets) and short hem lines. There are also plenty of sheer offerings. Designers are celebrating putting the worst of the pandemic behind us and put sexy dressing centre stage. There’s plenty of sass.

So here is my personal pick of what’s available right now to buy online from the ready to wear Spring 2022 designer dress collections.

Spring 2022 Designer Dresses – What You Can Buy Now

Alexander McQueen

From Alexander McQueen comes this Alexander McQueen Wool Cardigan Midi Dress. This intriguing asymmetrical midi dress is made from a heavyweight pure wool fabric. The asymmetrical hem and button detailing combined with the cinched in waist will help make the most of your shape. A versatile choice for day or evening wear. Unbuttoned you might choose to wear it as a long line cardigan. Chic.

For evening sophistication why not try Galvan’s Grace Midi Dress, available in two colours from Harrods, black and dark scarlet. This dress is also made from recycled materials. The Grace dress’s slim silhouette is complimented by its off the shoulder sweetheart neckline and a rear centre split. Made from a viscose, polyester, polyamide and elastane blend. This dress is virtually sold out at some stockists so if you love it, don’t hang around!

This one isn’t a dress but it’s a classic in the making. So I must mention it. Burberry trench coats have a devoted following. This season’s edition is a ‘Chelsea’ Double Breasted Midnight Blue Trench Coat. Made in the UK from cotton gaberdine, it falls to below the knee and is fully lined. And yes, it has that iconic check lining. This coat offers the promise of a great silhouette! A true investment piece that won’t easily date.

Dries Van Noten

Now for something floral, but with a difference. This Midi Floral Abstract Print Dress from Dries Van Noten is eye-catching. Made from a silk and elastane blend its classic and close-fitting styling is bound to flatter. I see this working as a day or evening dress. A good option if larger prints flatter you.

Dolce & Gabbana

How about a universally flattering dress? Well, this might be it – Dolce & Gabbana’s Nut Brown Midi Dress. Expertly tailored by Dolce & Gabbana’s inhouse team, the length and clever side ruching and modest neckline make this an effortless choice for day or evening wear. Made of a viscose, polyamide and elastane blend. Classy, neutral and well priced.

Bang on trend from the same designer comes this biker jacket. If you are hesitating over a biker jacket, this Dolce & Gabbana Leather Biker Jacket might just sway you. Here Dolce & Gabbana have managed to retain the biker look and feel while creating a more tailored and feminine silhouette. The slightly shorter length, just going beyond the waist is also flattering. There is much to love here.

For effortless dressing this Chloe Broderie Anglaise Dress Chambraydress caught my eye but be quick as its selling fast and is no long available in all sizes. Perfect for a spring holiday or the British summer. An easy wearing design with a fitted bodice and full skirt featuring an adjustable necktie at the back. The back of the dress has no zip but is designed to discretely show off your back without being backless. Made of a cotton and linen blend. Charming.

If you are looking for a short dress that offers something a bit different Camilla’s If These Walls Could Talk silk print mini dress might be your cup of tea. The print is said to be inspired by the murals at Annabels in London. The blue print features rainforest, florals and waters. The dress also features a rear neck tie and spectacular crystal embellishment around the neck. The fabric is 100% silk. Selling well so a number of sizes are already low in stock.

Stella McCartney

Another mini dress catching my eye is this Stella McCartney Ruched Mini Dress made in a deep orange jersey which is ruched throughout for a flattering fit. Hot, hot, hot. Could be worn day or evening and the jewel-like colour makes an impact. The feature drawstrings help to accentuate the waist and the fabric is 100% viscose.
