Dolce and Gabbana summer styles for 2021 include a comprehensive range of plain dresses and separates, florals and Sicilian inspired patchwork fabrics. You might also be able to catch some of the early summer range in a sale. But over the last few weeks there have also been new releases including a standout Gerbera print dress. There’s lots to love. So here is my round up of what is available right now across the range. Top tip – it pays to shop around as different e-tailers buy different parts of the collection. As always Dolce and Gabbana’s maximalist approach to design is front and centre.

Dolce and Gabbana Summer Styles – Dresses

The gerbera cotton poplin print dress with faux pearl buttons is truly a thing of beauty. If you are looking for a day to evening summer dress the this might be it. Both the outer fabric and lining are 100% cotton and its even machine washable. This dress screams ‘easy to wear’. The print, which is a riot of pink, orange and yellow is particularly eye-catching.

If you don’t mind buying prior season, how about this summer 2020 vibrant tulle midi dress. Taking its design cues from the 2000’s it is really a sight to behold. Made of lightweight tulle, its ruched throughout with internal corsetry and fat shoulder straps. Beautiful.

Polka dots are back, but did they ever really go away? I don’t think so. This polka dot stretch silk midi dress is another dress that could easily take you through day and evening. Great news if you are packing to go away and space is at a premium. Both the outer fabric and lining are a silk/elastane blend and the straps are branded ‘Dolce & Gabbana’. There is really lots to love about this dress.

I think everyone who follows Dolce and Gabbana knows leopard print is a recurring theme. Here we have a leopard print silk blend charmeuse midi dress. It features silk/elastane blend outer fabric, a square neckline and fitted waist. It is lined. A great dress for summer evenings.

I also like this Carretto print cotton poplin midi dress. Cut to be fitted to the chest and waist and then loose at the hip, this is a very pretty dress. Perfect daywear.

If you prefer a mini dress, I like this figure flattering patchwork cotton mini dress. Taking its inspiration from Sicily, it’s cut to be fitted across the chest and waist and full on the hips. To my eyes, it looks slightly high waisted. The fabric is a cotton, polyamide, and elastane blend.

If you are after an LBD try this black floral jacquard mini dress with a leopard print lining and a classic Dolce and Gabbana scooped neckline. With 2% elastane it’s designing to be figure hugging. Rather snazzy for an evening out!

Summer Styles Separates

This Carretto print skirt with a fringed hem caught my eye. The shaping on this skirt is unique and I think it will look great with a plain t-shirt. Dolce and Gabbana do like fringing! Perhaps the perfect daytime skirt!

This patchwork mini skirt is very chic and slightly high waisted. Made from a jacquard weave, it’s sure to be noticed. Slightly flared, it skims over the hips for a flattering fit. You can wear this day or evening.

For the perfect smart-casual skirt, this black pleated midi skirt stands out. With vertical pleats throughout and a two-step hem, you can wear this anywhere.

Leather trousers have always been around in different shapes. I like these high rise leather trousers. These come lined in signature leopard print fabric. Made from supple lamb’s leather, you’d be hard pressed to find a more comfortable pair of leather pants! The high waist is in keeping with the rest of the Dolce and Gabbana collection.

If silk pants are more your thing, then how about going ‘all in’ with these wide leg crepe pants in a riot of patchwork, inspired by Sicily. In the Dolce and Gabbana tradition of ‘more is more’ you can team these with clashing prints or go for a plain top. The fabric is 92% silk, blended with polyamide and elastane. The hint of stretch means these will be comfortable to wear.

When it comes to tops, I like this Carretto print t shirt. Made from cotton, its machine washable. You could team it with printed pants or jeans.

For evening wear, I am rather taken with this leopard print ruched crop top. Really beautifully shaped. It’s made from a silk/elastane blend and is fully lined. Divine! I would team with self-coloured jeans or a skirt.

Whichever Dolce and Gabbana summer styles take your fancy, don’t hang around. The best sell-out, as you might expect. But don’t give up, it’s worth shopping around.
