Dolce and Gabbana summer holiday dresses have been very much front and centre of my thoughts as the UK weather delivers record high temperatures. There is nothing quite like adding a bit of Sicilian inspired style to your summer season wardrobe.

These are dresses that can be enjoyed at home or abroad and once tried, there is no going back. Perhaps you are already a fan. Or if this is your first time looking at Dolce and Gabbana summer dresses, I can promise you a whole new dress experience awaits. I am a fan of their feminine shaping, fabulous fabrics, signature ruching and prints. If you opt for a Dolce and Gabbana summer holiday dress, you are definitely getting the whole package. I like to think once tried, forever smitten.

Buying for A Good Frock, I admit I tend to focus on certain dress shapes – the shapes I think are most flattering. And the fabric is often, but not exclusively stretch silk. A fabric that keeps cropping up in Dolce and Gabbana collections. I am a fan. Mostly, I buy calf-length dresses. Also, I don’t believe in revealing too much flesh. This is the Italian way. So let me introduce you to some of A Good Frock’s dresses. Although A Good Frock also stocks, Preloved and Vintage dresses, the dresses below are all from the New collection.

Dolce and Gabbana Summer Holiday Dresses

The Summer Tulle Dress

I must admit, I have a weakness for orange. It’s one of my go to colours. I knew as soon as I saw this Dolce and Gabbana tulle dress I knew I had to buy one for A Good Frock. It’s a delicate dress, beautifully ruched throughout, with flattering broad shoulder straps that have featured on so many Dolce and Gabbana dresses through the years. It’s calf-length and a size IT 44 / UK 12. The outer layer of fabric is a cotton blend with plenty of elastane and the lining is stretch silk. Truly a thing of beauty.

The Red Flower Dress

This Dolce and Gabbana red flower dress is in one of their most recognisable prints. A faux wrap geranium print dress with fringing, it’s the perfect day to evening dress. Both the outer layer and lining are silk blends, and both have elastane, for stretch. It features ruched fabric throughout and is shaped to show off your curves. I think it’s the perfect cocktail dress. The print is just fabulous. This dress is a size IT 42 / UK 10.

The Green Cannoli Print Dress

By my reckoning this is a lot of dress for the money. A cannoli-print stretch silk dress with a green stretch silk lining. You can hardly get more Sicilian inspired than that. This calf length Dolce and Gabbana green dress is beautifully shaped throughout with broad shoulder straps, nipped in waist and fluted hem. I can see this dress working equally well for day or evening wear. It is a size IT 46 / UK 14. As shown in the photo, it is ever so slightly creased.

I am happy to answer any and all questions on the dresses and will happily provide measurements.
